Environmental Health Awareness Walk, May 3rd, 2008 - 9:00am
Sponsored by Billups Grove Baptist Church, Children’s Environmental Health Coalition, and the Dunlap Road Community, this walk is to recognize the links between our health and the environment. Remember the past through the stories of the Dunlap Road Community; Learn about the present plans for the Athens-Clarke County Landfill; and Prepare for a better future by addressing recycling and reuse efforts. EcoRes Forum E-Conference Series Environmental (In)Justice: Sources, Symptoms, and Solutions April 11-24, 2008. EcoRes Forum E-Conference Series.
The purpose of this e-conference series is to provide an easily accessible platform for moderated discussions among global stakeholders about the socio-cultural aspects of climate change. Sundance Channel will launch the original web series, "THE GOOD FIGHT," hosted and created by award-winning environmental journalist Simran Sethi on April 22, 2008.
